Editorial comes first
A commercial relationship cannot secure coverage, change a score, influence a verdict or remove a criticism. Products without a commercial relationship are assessed in the same way.
Clear labelling
Commercial links are identified near the action. A normal source link remains a source link and is not treated as an affiliate relationship.
A simple test
If we would not recommend a product without a commission, we do not recommend it because a commission exists.
Where commercial enquiries go
Affiliate, advertising and partnership enquiries are handled at commercial@selectsoft.co.za, which is deliberately a separate address from the editorial desk. Nothing sent to it reaches a score, a verdict or a decision about what we cover.
Editorial questions and corrections go to corrections@selectsoft.co.za instead, and are answered by the editor.
